The most unlikely form of resistance, Zaatar (Za'atar) is a blend of herbs and spices commonly eaten in Palestine for every meal of the day. Since the occupation prohibition of picking wild plants on Palestinian land, the cultivation & consumption of Zaatar has become not just a staple dish, but a symbol of resistance and justice.
With a dark green colour, this Kufiyah reflects the blend of spices and herbs of the well loved dish.
Showcasing the tighter fishnet and olive leaves on a white base, the traditional pattern is woven in dark green.
All 4 edges (hadb) are decorated with knotted tassels and balled tassels on all 4 corners.
Made from a blend of cotton and high quality synthetic, the Kufiyah measures approximately 122 x 122 cm (48” x 48”).
